    Below you can see the patio that we completed just outside Kendal in Tebay. The patio is designed using Indian paving, the patio main focal point is the circle design in the centre of the patio that was carefully designed by Cumbria Landscaping.

  • Garden Steps
    We build a wide range of steps whether formal or informal. We work with all types of materials including natural stone. Some of our projects including building steps leading into the natural part of your garden to create a smooth transition from your home to your garden.

    Cumbria Landscaping created these steps in Kirkby Lonsdale, the main objective for these steps was to give easier access to the lower part of the garden. The steps were designed using limestone walling and Indian paving for the treads.

  • Stone Work
    We offer a wide range of stone work from dry stone walling, stone facing, retaining wall, garden walls and other bespoke stone work. We have excellent attention to detail and can carry out a wide range of styles of stone work, we use many materials our most common materials are limestone and slate.

    We have stone faced many projects, these include new builds and farmhouse barns. Stone facing gives a stunning finish to any building and will create a real feature point of your home.
    When building garden wall we often leave planting pockets and ledges for plants, so you can put your own individual stamp on your new garden wall.

    Here you can see new built barn that we stone faced, this project was completed using limestone walling stone. The stone faced project was competed in the Lyth Valley, the project gave the barn a traditional finish and to perfect match the cottage that the barn belonged to the barn was a stunning project and was in keeping with the rest of the property.

  • Garden Decking
    If you are looking for a solution in decking your garden we have many years of experience, we have managed many decking projects. Decking is a great solution for uneven areas of your garden or if you a looking to raise an area of your garden. We have excellent experience of building decking with wood and composite decking materials, so whatever your budget or plans we are sure to have a great decking solution for you.

    Here is a decking project that we did in Cartmel. The decking was built over a round area of the garden and the decking made the best of a space that previously was unusable. The decking provided a great area for the family to sit outside and enjoy their garden.

  • Ponds
    We can create a formal or informal depending on whether you are looking for a natural pond that has always been there, or a feature pond that will create a real focal point of your garden. We have built ponds ranging in sizes from small water features in a small backyard to bigger projects that have allowed the ponds to join to steamways. We also have excellent knowledge and experience of building rockeries with the ponds, to give you pond the perfect finishing touch.

    Here is a project of a pond that was built in Appleby it was a new pond that was built in the bottom of an orchard. The pond was fed using a land drain, to complete the pond we used a pond lines and once the pond was completed we used pond pants to create a natural pond design finish.

We have built a large number of rockeries in the past, using materials such as limestone and slate. Here at Cumbria Landscaping we have restored the rock garden of the famous botanist Reginald Farrer.

We have also built new rockeries from scratch, leaving lots of planting gaps so you can put your own finishing touches on the new garden rockeries. We also have great experience at building rockeries and incorporating steps, so we can complete your garden’s dreams.
